To catch a security professional

You win a beer! 🍺

So you scanned my badge, I was generally curious as to who would try and what I could catalog.

Come and find me on the OWASP floor and we can have a beer together (my treat, ToS is until I can't beer anymore):D

I'm expecting the following:

  • OWASP participants looking for fun
  • Adversarial scrapers that just scan everything online
  • Unknowns

The goal of this is to have fun and gain some insights into what's happening with QR codes online.

The process will be:

  1. collect statistics here anonymously
  2. get you to go back to the LinkedIn post and comment if you want
  3. write a short post about the results

Please go back to the original post and comment on why you ended here if you want :)

The modified badge was only posted in one place, my original LinkedIn post. I will run this for 4 days starting 1 day prior to the conference. I used the tagging structure of the official OWASP posts and didn't add any form of advertising.

Tracking was done with a privacy first tracker simpleanalytics.com. The QR code was created with Mini QR Code Generator and I think it looks quite nice.

The badge was modified to avoid security issues for the event as well as changing the QR code. This is compliant with the event code of conduct.
